Dodge County Farmers Union to host farm bill meeting

MANTORVILLE, Minn. – The Dodge County Farmers Union is hosting a Lunch-N-Learn on the upcoming farm bill at the old VFW building, 509 Main St. N., Mantorville, at noon March 13.

Staff from the offices of Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Sen. Tina Smith along with staff from the office of Rep. Brad Finstad have been invited to attend.

The farm bill governs an array of farm and food programs and is updated by Congress about every five years. Congress plans to update the farm bill this year.

The cost of the meal is $10. Please RSVP in advance to gail@mfu.org.

Dodge County Farmers Union will also be at the Dodge County Expo on March 25 and will be hosting monthly Lunch-N-Learns on the second Monday of the month at different locations throughout the county. Learn more about those events at the Farmers Union booth at the Expo.
