The Dodge County Soil and Water District held an open house for their 75th anniversary in September. The SWCD has worked with farmers and landowners to help manage the soil and water resources in the county. Past board member Orlo Toquam was present at the event and it was notable that his father Clifford was one of the original board members when the county organization began. Also on display at the open house was an inter seeder that is being used to establish cover crops in growing corn for erosion control.
