Triton BPA Crowned National Runner-Up!

Dodge Center, MN – Students from Triton’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter were among

the 6,500+ attendees representing nearly 800 school chapters across the United States, China, Puerto Rico, and

South Korea who attended the 2024 BPA National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois from May 10-

14, where the Small Business Management Team of Danielle Hallaway and Corey Lilledahl was crowned the

National Runner-Up!

Also finding success was the Video Production Team of Noah Kleinwort, Alex Ortiz, and Quinn Short, who

were named National Finalists and graced the stage at the Grand Awards Ceremony. Additionally, the

following Triton students earned trips and competed: Camila Medina in Graphic Design, Corey Lilledahl in

Presentation, RoseLyn Liudahl and Jade Scovill in Website Design Team, and Bryar Quimby and Ashley

Romero in Visual Design Team.

“Triton BPA has such a rich history of competitive excellence that I think sometimes, our students don’t fully

grasp the scope of their accomplishments—particularly how big of deal it is to even qualify for Nationals,” said

BPA Advisor Rebecca Goossens. “For perspective, Texas BPA alone has over 10,500 members, which means

our students competed against (and beat!) individuals/teams who were considered the best out of tens of

thousands. Needless to say, I am so, so proud of their leadership and learning—they’re all #1 in my book!”

While in Chicago, participants also had opportunities to network with other BPA members and business leaders,

complete certification exams, elect national officers, visit famous attractions in the region, and participate in

several community service activities honoring the Special Olympics, BPA’s national service project.

“Participating in the National Leadership Conference is the culmination of a year’s work for our student

members and their advisors,” said Dr. Steven J. Mitchell, BPA’s Executive Director/CEO. “We applaud all of

these members who demonstrated workplace skills in competitive events, gained new insights by participating

in workshops, earned valuable industry certifications, or were recognized for individual or chapter

achievements."
