We recently held our annual Corn Drive, where our high school FFA members braved on a rainy, cold day to collect an impressive $14,866 in donations. Several Triton members participated in dairy, horse, livestock, and poultry contests at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls. Autumn Froyum achieved 10th place overall in the Horse Judging Contest.
Triton Middle School FFA members recently participated in the Ag Challenge Contest at Plainview-Elgin-Millville, where they were tasked with identifying 100 different photos, including various types of flowers and breeds of dogs. Lily Klejeski distinguished herself by placing among the top 20 participants—congratulations, Lily, on your accomplishment!
The Triton FFA officer team just recently participated in the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. We started the trip by touring the Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg, Iowa. On Wednesday, October 29th, we started at the Indianapolis Convention Center participating in FFA Expo, learning about college and career opportunities, and the Mega FFA shopping mall. We attended the opening session at the Lucas Oil Stadium, listening to the National FFA Officers and the Keynote Speaker, Aric Jackson's speak on “EMPOWER”. Wednesday evening, we worked on team building skills by duckbill bowling. On Thursday, October 30th, we had the opportunity to participate in many workshops dealing with being an advocate, writing resume, developing leadership skills, and several other topics. It was an amazing opportunity and learning experience for all those that participated.
We’re excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Annual Steak Feed this year!
