United Way of Olmsted County Urges Community Support to Close Critical Funding Gap

Posted

Rochester, MN – United Way of Olmsted County is calling on the community to help bridge a significant funding gap in its annual campaign to support crucial programs for local families. This year’s Workplace Giving Campaign—United Way’s largest fundraiser—is currently running behind by 13%, equating to nearly $150,000 less than last year at this time. United Way’s ambitious goal is to raise $2,750,000 by year-end.

If the campaign falls short, the impact will ripple through our community, putting essential services and resources at risk. United Way currently funds over 40 nonprofit and public programs across Olmsted, Dodge, Fillmore, and Winona Counties, impacting more than 35,000 residents each year. Individual donations received enable critical services like school supplies for children, access to mental health resources, care for seniors, and support for families in crisis.

“Now more than ever, we need to come together as a community,” says Jerome Ferson, President of United Way of Olmsted County. “The strength of our community is built on the support we give each other. Every donation—large or small—is a strand in the web of support that helps our neighbors move from crisis to stability. Together, we can ensure everyone in Olmsted County has a chance to thrive.”
