Yearbook Class is Back!

Posted

Yearbooks are a staple in remembering memories. But who captures and captions the memories? It happens to be the yearbook class, but it wasn’t always a class. Triton High School’s yearbook last year was run as a club with Rebecca Gossens as the club advisor. Now the class is back, and the yearbook class advisors are Anne Wotherspoon and Karen Kleinwort, and the students that make up the 2025-2026 yearbook class are: Abrielle Emanuel, Nallah Cain, Riley Cummings, Alekz Wilkox, RoseLyn Liudahl, Kaliyah Eckhoff, Candice Thompson, Damion Radke, Greta Geisler, and Hailey Ball.

When yearbook advisor Anne Wotherspoon was asked why she took on the role of being one of the yearbook advisors, she responded with, “I wanted the opportunity to work with a group of students to create this work of art.” When the students were asked why they chose this class Sophomore Abrielle Emanuel replied with “I want to explore design and up my photography skills.” When creating a yearbook, you need to have an idea of the theme, staff positions, layouts, and designs. However, there are challenges that come with creating the yearbook. Some challenges that students named were figuring out staff positions and figuring out how to design the pages.

The yearbook staff were able to overcome the staff position challenge. RoseLyn Liudahl as student editor is responsible for leading the yearbook staff and is second in command to the yearbook advisors. Abrielle Emanuel as photography editor is responsible for making sure school events are covered for picture taking. Candice Thompson as layout editor is responsible for creating the layout used for the yearbook. The rest of the yearbook staff are busy making sure the yearbook pages are getting completed.

The 2025-2026 yearbook class is getting ready to make the yearbook inclusive and fun. With designing, picture taking, journalism and captioning, the yearbook class is ready to take on the rest of the school year to make sure this book gets done for all Triton High School students to enjoy.
