Survival Days This Weekend

The 38th annual Survival Days is this weekend. The Guns and Hoses Charity softball game will be held on Thursday at 7pm.

On Friday morning from 7 to 11am there will be coffee and doughnuts at the American Legion. Food stands and the beer garden will open at 5pm and a 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held at Memorial Park at 5:30pm. A garden tractor pull starts at 6pm and a bean bag tournament starts at 7pm in the grass lot beside the American Legion. The Miss West Concord pageant will begin at 6:30pm at Lion’s Park. Live music under the big tent with Colt 45 from 8pm to midnight.

Saturday morning a meat smoking competition starts at 7am in front of the Gochnauer Dairy Barn. The Fire Dept has a burrito breakfast from 8am to 11am. A classic car show will be held on Main Street from 8am to noon. Softball tournaments start at 8am and volleyball tournaments start at 9am. A petting zoo, kids activities and bounce house will be at the east end of Main Street from 10am to 3pm. An antique tractor pull is scheduled for 10am to 2pm east of the dairy barn. Food stands open at 11am and a treasure hunt will be at the swimming pool at 11:30AM. Bingo under the tent from 2 to 4pm and “Mud Bogs” south of Hyland Systems on the old football field from 2 to 5pm. An excavator rodeo will be held at the east end of Main Street at 7:30pm. A street dance will be held under the tent with “Lost Highway” from 8pm to midnight.

Sunday morning there is a breakfast at the American Legion from 8 to 11am and the community church service at 9:30am in Lion’s Park. Food stands open at 11am and there will be an ice cream social under the big tent from noon to 3pm. The grand parade will start at 1pm and at 2pm the fire fighters waster fight will be held. There is live music under the big tent from 2 to 4pm with CCB jazz.
