Wynn E. Frederick, 75 of Chisholm died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm.

He was born June 10, 1948 in Rochester, MN, to Charles and Marieta (Churchward) Frederick. He graduated from West Concord High School and from Staples Technical College for Mechanical Engineering.

Wynn was a United States Navy Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal (2 Stars).

On April 19, 1969, he and Virginia L. Wilson, his Jr. High School sweetheart united in marriage at the Hegre Lutheran Church in West Concord and were soon to celebrate their 55th Wedding Anniversary. Together, they were longtime residents of Chisholm since

1978.

Wynn worked for the Hibbing Taconite Mining Company as a Maintenance Mechanic for 32yrs and was also an EMT for the Chisholm Ambulance Service (20yrs). He was a member of the Chisholm United Methodist Church, Chisholm Curling Club, Hibbing Elks Lodge and American

Legion Post 247. Wynn loved riding his Trail 90 and cruising in his convertible and would often stop at the local tire shop. He also looked forward to his Friday and Saturday night rides with friends. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, biking,

snowmobiling, sitting around campfires, boating, gardening and grilling. He will be fondly remembered for his garage hospitality serving up venison jerky, homemade wine, cheap beer and wok popcorn with music and conversation. He was also known to fix and build

almost anything. But above all, Wynn enjoyed watching his grandkids in sports, graduate and become good human beings!

Wynn is survived by his loving wife Virginia, daughters, Stacey (Jeremy) Rodorigo and Stephanie (Todd) Petersen, three grandchildren: Sage Hopke, Madyson Hopke and Brecken Rodorigo, two brothers, Kerry (Sue) Frederick, Bryce (Brenda) Frederick, sister, Debbi

(Tim) Fishbach and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved dogs Freckles and Chelsea.

A celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Chisholm.
