Daniel Lee Greene, 72 of Dodge Center, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and two daughters on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Daniel was born on December 22, 1953, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester MN to Wallace and Millicent (Payne) Greene. He grew up in Wasioja with his 4 older siblings: Phillip (Diann),Lorna, Steve (Linda) and Ken. He Graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1972.
After high school he got his CDL and discovered a love for driving semi-trucks. He was an over the road truck driver and also had a son, Joel from a previous Marriage.
He met Marjo in the summer of 1987, they got married in April of 1988. Together they had their first daughter, Brittany in July of that same year. Their second daughter, Amanda was born in October of 1989. When he wasn't working on the road in his semi's you could find him either on his motorcycle, helping his friends with whatever projects they needed help with or tinkering in the garage fixing up anything he could get his hands on. With all the different titles he held his favorites were always dad and grandpa (papa).
Daniel is survived by his wife, Marjo; son Joel; two daughters, Brittany (Nic Neubauer) and Amanda Greene; 9 grandchildren; and his 4 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Millicent Greene.
A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2026, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN. Reverend Dale Rood officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to his service at the funeral home. Inurnment was in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN. A luncheon followed at the Dodge Center American Legion, 401 Hwy St W in Dodge Center, MN.
